Patagonia Torrentshell 3L Jacket Green

The Patagonia Torrentshell 3L Jacket uses H2No Performance Standard technology to provide long-term comfort and protection in soggy storms and constant drizzle. The 3-layer jacket features 100% recycled Nylon fabric, a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and tricot backing for next-to-skin comfort. Its adjustable hood with laminated visor can be easily rolled up and stowed with a simplified drawcord and hook design. The central front zipper has protective flaps inside and out; the zippers and handheld heating pockets have protective flaps and zippers with DWR treatment. It features a Microfleece lined collar, hook-and-loop cuff closures and a drawstring hem.

It should be noted that Patagonia pays a premium for each item bearing the Fair Trade label. That extra money goes directly to the factory workers, and they decide how to spend it. The program also promotes health, worker safety, social and environmental compliance, encouraging dialogue between workers and management.

The 3-layer H2No Performance Standard fabrics are fully waterproof, windproof and breathable thanks to an advanced combination of elements: a water-repellent coating fabric and a waterproof/breathable membrane attached to an ultra-lightweight knit support. All fabric is highly packable and designed for prolonged use in extreme weather conditions. The 3-layer H2No Performance Standard fabrics are coated with a DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. Together with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish prevents the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job. All products bearing the H2 brand have not been subjected to rigorous durability tests at the 24 Killer Wash in Patagonia.

The fabric is treated with a durable water repellent finish repels light rain and snow while reducing drying time. When used in conjunction with a waterproof and breathable outer layer, DWR helps prevent that layer from becoming saturated. Patagonia researches and develops new DWR techniques to achieve durability and performance and reduce environmental impact.
